Bassist and proud papa Pete Wentz tweeted earlier this week that his most recent Fall Out Boy CD, 2008’s “Folie a Deux,” may be the band’s “swan song.”
But today he told MTV.com, “no, we’re not calling it quits, but we’ve no future album plans right now. We can’t quit, we’re waiting to get fired.” It sounds like he is taking the same route as most Americans who just sit around in their cube in hopes of getting canned to collect that government handout.
You know who you are.
He then went on to say, “I think it’s all in context. There aren’t any new Fall Out Boy songs because we don’t write for the sake of it. We will stop doing Fall Out Boy when it stops being fun.”
Wait Pete, so you are or you aren’t finished recording? I feel like we’re stuck in that endless Abbott and Costello Who’s on First routine.
