Indie film types were shaken up over the weekend at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham, NC, when deadly tornadoes struck. “It was terrifying,” said one movie exec. “I stepped outside a screening and the sky was green. It looked like some ‘Wizard of Oz’ lighting.” Storms knocked power out at festival venues, plunging some celluloid lovers into darkness. “We just did the panels in the dark,” said documentary pro ducer Josh Braun. But backup generators kicked in and only one film was cut short. Alex Gibney, D.A. Pennebaker and Steve James were featured speakers.
