Mayor Bloomberg might want to deputize comedienne Cloris Leachman for his war on cigarettes. At a party announcing the winner of Vitaminwater’s Color Collection contest during Fashion Week, a bright young thing took a smoking break outside the party at the Empire Hotel when a Town Car pulled up and Leachman, the “Young Frankenstein” star, got out. But as Leachman passed the puffer, she playfully smacked him on the head and told him “not to smoke.” The fellow explained to the former “Mary Tyler Moore” star that he was on a strict diet of “cigarettes and champagne” for Fashion Week. Leachman clocked him yet again, saying his regimen was “unhealthy.” She then stared down the Marlboro man and wouldn’t leave until he extinguished his butt before she headed inside the hotel. The Vitaminwater event drew designers Richard Chai, Chris Benz, Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, as well as Elle’s Joe Zee and CFDA CEO Steven Kolb. Leachman’s agent didn’t get back to us.
