Katie Holmes doesn’t want her daughter Suri, 6, racking up free designer swag like a Hollywood star.
According to Hollywood Life, the divorcing former “Dawson’s Creek” star often returns freebies sent for Suri from fashion designers.
“Katie has been returning unsolicited gifts and loans from designers for Suri since she arrived in New York,” the site reports a source as saying. “She’s issued instructions to remove Suri from all freebie lists. She’s also put the word out in LA to stop any mini-me diva products being sent her way.”
The site also alleges that Suri was spoiled by Tom Cruise.
“Tom loved to spoil Suri and indulge her, but Katie has other ideas,” a source says. Holmes has also reportedly enrolled her daughter at an all-girls Catholic school on the Upper East Side.
Holmes, meanwhile, has her own fashion line, Holmes & Yang, which Fox News reported has seen a boost in sales at Barneys stores after news of her divorce from the “Mission Impossible” star broke. The collection’s showing for the first time at New York Fashion Week this September.
Also in New York, Holmes is planning a return to Broadway for the first time in four years, in the play, “Dead Accounts.”
The story of Holmes’ freebie rejecting policy was originally reported by UK’s Reveal magazine.
