Just as New Yorkers are breathing a sigh of relief at the end of the choking UN week traffic, President Barack Obama will be back in town for more fund-raising for the Democratic National Committee on Oct. 7.
The event at hot new Tribeca restaurant White Street will be hosted by prominent Democratic donors such as Victor and Sarah Kovner and Betsy and Ed Zimmerman.
Tickets range from $1,000 to $25,000. It’s believed that Obama will also be fêted at one other very intimate Manhattan fund-raiser on the same day at a private home, for which tickets are going for $25,000 a piece.
It’s time for Steve Schwarzman, the Blackstone CEO who rode the subway to avoid UN traffic, to refill his MetroCard.
