George Clooney got a chance to say, Oh Father, how art thou? Sunday as he shook hands with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
The actor and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, were in Rome, where he was honored for promoting the pontiff’s educational organization.
Francis also honored actors Salma Hayek and Richard Gere at the same event for his Scholas Occurrentes group.
Before meeting with the actors, the pope held an audience with several high-profile YouTube producers, telling them, “You can create a virtual identity; you belong to this circle, at least virtually. From that, you can start taking a path of optimism and hope.”
