Eccentric socialite Jean Shafiroff held a “lavish” party at her Upper East Side home recently and asked guests to bring gifts to be passed on to underprivileged kids.
But we’re told that Shafiroff had her “security” turn away people who brought toy guns. Apparently the host had told partygoers in advance that she is opposed to fake firearms.
“Some people were not admitted because they weren’t on the list and were looking to crash a swanky soiree,” we’re told. “Others were not admitted, sadly, because they didn’t heed her request about bringing toy guns. She is ‘deadly serious’ about the matter,” said the source.
The party was to benefit the NYC Mission Society, of which Shafiroff is a board member.
