Sofía Vergara just blew up Joe Manganiello’s spot.
The “Modern Family” star, 45, revealed husband Manganiello has a geekier side while on the red carpet at Sunday’s 69th annual Emmy Awards.
“He’s a nerd!” she told E! News’ Giuliana Rancic. “The highlight of his life is to play Dungeons & Dragons.”
But Manganiello, who had to skip the ceremony due to work commitments, isn’t just a casual player of the beloved tabletop role-playing game. He’s a diehard fan.
“He comes together with like eight friends,” Vergara continued. “I do like a spread of food. He has a dungeon room downstairs in our basement. It’s spectacular. I decorated for him. I bring him food and he sits there for like six or eight hours playing Dungeons & Dragons.”
As much as he may love the game, Manganiello’s yet to convince Vergara it’s worth her time.
“No,” she answered when asked if she’d ever played the game. “I organize the figurines and I put the chips and things, but no.”
Manganiello isn’t the only D&D enthusiast in Hollywood, though. Fellow fans include Stephen Colbert and Vin Diesel, who wrote the foreword to the book “30 Years of Adventure: A Celebration of Dungeons & Dragons.”
