Schwarzenegger spends Christmas with Stallone
It was certainly “jingle all the way” for actor mates Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger who enjoyed a festive hug as the “Terminator” actor called by on Christmas.
Arnie, 70, threw himself into the winter spirit with a bright red sweater as he made the trip to Sly’s pad.
Clearly excited about the surprise visit, the “Rocky” star, 71, didn’t hesitate to pose for a selfie, with a huge stone statue of his iconic boxer character looming in the background.
He swiftly uploaded the snap to his Instagram page with the excited caption: “Well look who dropped by on Christmas!
“@schwarzenegger always fills the room with positive energy!”
Dressed in a smart white shirt and black trousers, Stallone, famed for playing the role of boxer Rocky, looked stylish for a day with his loved ones.
His followers were quick to comment on the Christmas celeb reunion with one gushing: “Awesome …nothing less.”
Another put: “Legends & heroes” as a third commented: “2 handsome guys, love both of you. Sylvester, we watch your movies over and over and over and over. Merry Christmas.”
One then rounded off with: “The best action heroes of the world.”
As well as being BFFs off-screen, the muscular duo have also starred in Hollywood blockbusters “The Expendables” and “Escape Plan” together.
The pair often share banter on social media and in July, Sly wished “Jingle All the Way” star Schwarzenegger a happy birthday with the help of photo montage comparing Schwarzenegger in his workout gear to himself topless in “Rambo,” adding the words: “Pre – HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARNOLD!!!!
“As long as you live and beyond, you’re always going to be the ‘BIG MAN’ Who set the bar so high that it will never be surpassed, an action hero legend!”
Later on, Stallone switched to his lounge gear as he enjoyed the festivities with wife Jennifer Flavin and his three daughters, Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet.
The family posed in front of a glittering tree and were all smiles as they relaxed in their matching pajamas.
In a message to his fans, he added: “Best Wishes for a great year ahead for everyone!”
The festive cheer came after a difficult few months for Stallone, who was accused of raping a woman in his Santa Monica office in 1990.
According to a report on celebrity news website TMZ, Stallone admitted having met the accuser during a movie shoot in Israel for three days but said no rape occurred.
Stallone has denied seeing the alleged victim at all in 1990, when the incident is reported to have taken place.
In a separate allegation, Stallone was accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl while filming in Las Vegas.
Responding to reports of the alleged incident, Stallone’s agent issued a denial.
A statement read: “This is a ridiculous, categorically false story. No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone. At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by authorities or anyone else regarding this matter. It never happened.”
