Teresa Giudice won’t be allowed to visit her incarcerated husband, Joe Giudice, until after the new year.
“She anticipates that she’ll be approved and she’ll be visiting him sometime in January,” a source close to the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star told Page Six on Tuesday.
As the source explained, Joe was only transferred to FCI Allenwood around Thanksgiving and the visitor approval process can take up to six weeks to complete. A Bureau of Prisons official at the Pennsylvania facility separately told us that the approval process is usually completed in one to two weeks from the time that the inmate mails his counselor the required forms.
Joe was previously at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. He is serving a sentence for bankruptcy fraud.
In the meantime, Teresa is spending time with their four daughters — Gia, 16, Gabriella, 13, Milania, 11, and Audriana, 8 — in Mexico. The source told us that her dad, Giancinto, was able to accompany them despite his recent hospitalization for a mild case of pneumonia. “He’s doing better,” the source said. “The family is doing good.”
“It was a difficult Christmas,” the source added. “It was the first Christmas without [Teresa]’s mother. The family spent Christmas Eve together with the Gorgas, and they spent Christmas day with the Giudice side of the family.”
Teresa’s mother Antonia passed away in March.
