Roseanne Barr has no plans to stay in the US while the “Roseanne” spinoff “The Conners” premieres on Oct. 16.
“Oh, yeah, I don’t want to be around, because I, you know, I’ll get drawn into a negative thing of defending myself or being angry for being mischaracterized and, you know, I don’t,” she tells Dr. Oz in an interview scheduled to air on Tuesday. “I want to stay away from it. I want to stay in a joyous, positive, happy place that I’ve worked my way to again in my life.”
Barr will be traveling to Israel with hopes of becoming fluent in Hebrew. It’ll be her fourth trip to the country.
“Well, I want to be able to learn Hebrew, speak Hebrew fluently, because, you know, I read very slow but I know the letters and I love the letters, but, I want to speak it,” she shares, “and also I have quite a few teachers over the years that live there and, you know, I want to study.”
The former “Roseanne” star revealed over the weekend that the spinoff kills off her character with an opioid overdose.
“There’s nothing I can do about it,” she acknowledged. “It’s done. It’s over.”
