Red Sox’s hometown celebration involved over $300K in booze
As a pregame to their victory parade, the Red Sox continued celebrating their World Series win against the LA Dodgers in their hometown by hitting Boston nightclub Icon on Tuesday.
Team members Mookie Betts, J.D. Martinez, Xander Bogaerts, Eduardo Rodríguez, Eduardo Núñez, Andrew Benintendi and Rick Porcello rolled up to the club at around midnight and “took turns spraying the crowd with champagne,” a spy told Page Six. “Everyone was soaked.”
The spy added, “They were feeding champagne to people … everyone was going wild.”
The 2018 champs partied with over $300,000 worth of booze, including two 6-liter bottles of Brut Gold Armand de Brignac worth $20,000, 60 750ml bottles of Ace of Spades and a gigantic 15-liter bottle of Luc Belaire Luxe worth $35,000, according to insiders.
“Players stayed all night and signed autographs for the fans during the party and at the end,” our source told us.
DJ Pup Dawg from Jam’n 94.5 deejayed, and Maverik performed his “Red Sox Nonstop Remix,” which has quickly become an anthem for the team’s ninth World Series title.
Over 450 people showed up for the baseball bash hosted by 6one7 Productions.
Page Six reported the team was gifted $100,000 in champagne the night of the final game Sunday while they celebrated out in LA.
