Ariana Rockefeller and Matthew Bucklin have divorced after nine years of marriage, Page Six has learned.
Philanthropist, designer and equestrian Rockefeller told us: “I confirm that my marriage to Matthew Bucklin has come to an end. While this chapter has closed, I know we will both move on with grace, living our respective lives with purpose and gratitude. I wish him the best.”
Bucklin, founder of Florida-based Quit Company, did not respond to a request for comment.
Rockefeller, we hear, has recently returned to NYC after living in Wellington, Fla., and bought an Upper East Side pad. A pal said, “She’s also been traveling. She was in the UK all summer training for horse jumping. She is also looking to expand her brand internationally: She’s in Greece next week meeting with media and potential brand partners.”
On the equestrian circuit, she’s known to compete with Michael Bloomberg’s daughter Georgina, and Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica.
She and Bucklin married in 2010 on Mount Desert Island, Maine — the area where Rockefeller summered and Bucklin was raised. For their wedding profile in the New York Times, she summed up their relationship: “Summer girl meets local boy.”
Sources said the split is amicable, and the duo finalized it this week after filing in April.
