Hillary Clinton calls for ‘empathy’ after recent ­anti-Semitic attacks

After a number of ­anti-Semitic attacks in New York — including one in which people were stabbed at a rabbi’s home — Hillary Clinton made a plea for peace during a visit to Stage 42 to see the Yiddish version of “Fiddler on the Roof.”

A video on the production’s Instagram page shows Clinton telling the cast: “Given the time, and everything that’s going on, you just want everybody in the world to see this and to feel it and to relate to it and to empathize with it and to cry at the end, like I did. So, maybe we can bring back some of that empathy and understanding that is just being squeezed away.”
