Grimes snaps at Elon Musk for correcting explanation of son X Æ A-12’s name
New mom Grimes is in no mood for boyfriend Elon Musk‘s commentary.
The “Miss Anthropocene” singer, 32, snapped at Musk on Twitter after he corrected her spelling of the aircraft that helped inspire their son’s name, X Æ A-12.
“I am recovering from surgery and barely alive so may my typos b forgiven but, damnit,” she wrote. “That was meant to be profound.”
He then replied, “U r a powerful [fairy emojis].”
After their baby’s birth, Grimes offered up a detailed explanation of their child’s unusual moniker:
•X, the unknown variable ⚔️
•Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence)
•A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent 🤍

But Musk corrected her on one point: “SR-71, but yes,” he tweeted on Wednesday.
The SpaceX CEO, 48, announced on Monday that he and Grimes had welcomed their first child together.
