“CSI: Vegas” star William Petersen was hospitalized on Friday after feeling unwell on the set of show, Variety reported.
A rep for the “CSI” veteran, who is reprising his role in the sequel series, was taken to the hospital as a “precautionary measure” after feeling exhausted from working long hours on set for the past three months.
Petersen is back at home and recovering.
Reps for Petersen and CBS Studios didn’t immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.
TMZ, which was the first to report the news, noted that the famed actor departed the set in an ambulance — although it was more for safety than it was necessity.
Petersen, 68, is reprising his role as Gil Grissom from the long-running show “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” in the new series, which is set to premiere on CBS Oct. 6. Petersen is also an executive producer on “CSI: Vegas,” as he was on the original “CSI.”
Petersen won a Screen Actors Guild award for his work on “CSI,” which ran from 2000-2015, and was nominated for a Golden Globe and three Emmys as a producer.
Also reprising their roles on “CSI: Vegas” include Jorja Fox as Sara Sidle and Wallace Langham as David Hodges. Paul Guilfoyle will also guest star on the series as his role as Jim Brass.
New characters on the show include Paula Newsome (Maxine Roby), Matt Lauria (Josh Folsom), Mel Rodriguez (Hugo Ramirez) and Mandeep Dhillon (Allie Rajan).
