Could a Fenty x John Mayer collaboration be in the works?
Rihanna and the “Last Train Home” crooner were spotted grabbing dinner at the San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood on Tuesday.
Both singers kept their looks casual for the evening, with Rihanna wearing a brown crop top and cardigan paired with wide-leg jeans. She accessorized her outfit with plenty of chunky necklaces.
Mayer wore a jacket, face mask, white T-shirt and cargo pants for the occasion.
It’s unclear what the duo discussed during their meeting, but Mayer, 43, and the Savage x Fenty founder, 33, are longtime friends.
They reportedly met in 2013 when Mayer dated Rihanna’s close friend Katy Perry. The women revealed that they first bonded over a studded Valentino bag.
The “Roar” singer, 36, and Mayer began dating in 2012 following her divorce from Russell Brand. They split in February 2014 but were spotted cozying up to each other again in January 2015.
But their reconciliation didn’t last, and Perry went on to become engaged to Orlando Bloom in February 2019. They welcomed a daughter, Daisy Dove, in August 2020.
Mayer is still single and was spotted on dating app Raya in 2016 after he was previously linked to Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston.
More recently, he was spotted hanging out with Cazzie David earlier this year at hotspot Katsuya, but the duo have said they are just friends.
Mayer and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator Larry David’s daughter have known each other for years, with Cazzie, 27, even moderating an Instagram Live chat with Mayer in 2018 where they discussed his sex life.
Rihanna, for her part, has been dating rapper A$AP Rocky since last year.
