Teresa Giudice warns of fake wedding registries after invitation leak
Teresa Giudice warned her fans to watch out for fake wedding registries online after Ramona Singer accidentally leaked her and Luis Ruelas invitation online.
The Bravolebrity, who is set to say “I do” this summer, revealed people were impersonating her online by creating faux wedding registries.
At least one fake website has appeared, claiming to be the real deal by asking fans to send money as a wedding gift.
“THIS REGISTRY IS FAKE!!!” the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, 50, wrote on her Instagram Story Tuesday night over a screenshot of the scam website.
“Please do NOT give any money or gifts to ANYONE, it is not us or anyone affiliated with us. Thank you.”
A message on the website read: “We’re lucky to already have a home full of everything we need, so please enjoy browsing our Honeyfund wish list, where you can contribute funds to our dream honeymoon.”
On Tuesday, “RHONY” star Singer accidentally revealed the date and location of Giudice and Ruelas’ nuptials when she posted a video of the glamorous lucite invitation she received. It’s unclear if the leak prompted the faux registries or if they were already up.
“I just got the most exotic, glamorous wedding invitation I ever received in my life,” Singer said in the clip, as she turned the camera around to reveal a marble box featuring a bouquet of flowers.
“This is a lucite invitation that was presented on top of this gift,” she continued.
The transparent invite read, “Together with their families, Teresa and Louis request the honor of your presence at the celebration of their union.”
The documents also revealed the nuptials will be a black tie affair, taking place on Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Park Chateau Estate in East Brunswick, NJ.
The mother of four has been dating Ruelas, 46, since late 2020.
They got engaged in October 2021, just two months after Giudice finalized her divorce from ex-husband, Joe Giudice. The former couple share four daughters: Gia, 21, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 12.
