‘RHOP’ star Mia Thorton and husband Gordon split after 11 years of marriage
“Real Housewives of Potomac” stars Mia Thorton and husband Gordon Thornton have called it quits after 11 years of marriage.
“Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs,” the Bravolebrity, 38, told People Friday. “At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are okay.”
“We ask that you respect our privacy and give us the time and space to figure things out,” she added.
Mia and Gordon, 71, met in 2003 and tied the knot nine years later. The now-exes share son Jeremiah Carter, 8, and daughter Juliana, 6.
Reps for the Bravolebrity did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
The news comes just one day after the trailer for the upcoming “RHOP” season dropped, hinting that the couple’s marriage was on the rocks.
In the teaser, Mia admits that she “might have” married Gordon for “his money” and also reveals that she once “obtained a divorce attorney” — yet it’s unclear when.

Their marriage problems come almost a year after Mia revealed that her estranged husband’s brothers “robbed [them] of everything [they] own.”
The Bravolebrity, who owns a chain of chiropractic clinics called The Joint Chiropractic with Gordon, alleged that his siblings “recently revoked his access to the company bank account” while the two were “out of the country.”
Then, during the Bravo show’s Season 7 reunion in February, Mia claimed that she and Gordon were “literally living off [their] savings.”
Although it’s unclear exactly why or when the pair split, Mia posted a birthday tribute to her estranged husband on Instagram last week.
“Cheers to 71 years around the Sun 🥂,” she captioned a carousel of photos. “Happy Birthday, My G!”
She also posted a loved-up Father’s Day tribute to Gordon in June, calling him a “powerful positive influence” on their children.
“I admire the way you love, nurture, and empower our babies to be the best versions of themselves,” she wrote. “Thank you for loving us and being a great dad!”
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” returns to Bravo on Nov. 5.
