Why it was ‘really important’ for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to spend Thanksgiving together with their families
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce felt it was “really important” to be together this Thanksgiving, a source exclusively tells Page Six.
“It was really important to Taylor and Travis to spend Thanksgiving together this year since they’ve never been able to before,” the insider explains, referencing the fact that work kept the couple separated last year.
During Thanksgiving in 2023, the “Cruel Summer” singer was in South America for her Eras Tour, while the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was busy keeping up with his football schedule.
The insider also describes that the power couple was able to bring their families together for the joyous holiday following some serious planning.
“They knew it would take some coordination, but they’re so grateful they were able to pull it off,” our source says.
The insider further confirmed that Taylor and her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, hosted the entire Kelce clan in the singer’s Nashville home.
Taylor’s family and Travis were joined by his parents, Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce, his brother, Jason Kelce, his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce and his three nieces, Wyatt, Elliotte and Bennett.
The next day, Taylor and Scott joined Donna to cheer on Travis and the Chiefs as they beat the Las Vegas Raiders 19-17.
The Thanksgiving get-together might have come as a surprise to some as Donna thought Taylor would be too “busy” to spend Thanksgiving with them.

When asked if she would see the superstar for the holidays, the mom of two told “Today” show viewers that she “[didn’t] think so.”
“She’s kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do,” she explained, referencing Taylor’s record-breaking Eras Tour, which wraps Dec. 8 in Vancouver.
Despite this being their first Thanksgiving together, Taylor and Travis have been dating since the summer of 2023.
