The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter, Apple Martin, made a splash at Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris on Saturday, dressed in a custom gown fit for only the finest of debutantes.
The college student, 20, wore a strapless ruffled Valentino Haute Couture gown designed by the house’s new creative director Alessandro Michele, along with Valentino Garavani Ladycrush heels ($1,070) in a matching shade of powder blue.
According to Vogue, it took the Valentino atelier 750 hours to make the gown, which featured six dégradé tiers of silk plissé chiffon and a black silk bow at the waist.
The ball was a family affair, with mom, dad and brother Moses all in attendance — and wearing Valentino, of course. Paltrow’s mother, Blythe Danner, made the trip as well.
Paltrow looked ravishing in a black polka-dotted semi-sheer gown gown from Valentino’s spring 2025 collection, while the men wore custom tuxedos.
Valentino holds a special place in the family’s history; Paltrow turned to the brand’s former creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli to design her dress for her 2018 wedding to Brad Fulchuk.
The Goop founder, 52, walked down the aisle in a traditional white lace gown with an illusion sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves, later changing into a Stella McCartney romper to dance the night away at the afterparty.
She has long been a fan of the brand and close friends with its founder, Valentino Garavani, who dressed her for many red carpet events from Met Galas to movie premieres.
And while Apple’s far from the only celebrity offspring to have attended the French ball — past debutantes have included Lily Collins, Ava Philippe and Margaret Qualley — she’s the first to wear custom Alessandro Michele for the occasion.
At the ball, Apple danced with her dad and playfully posed for pics with the other debs.
“A special long weekend in Paris 💙,” Paltrow captioned an Instagram post with photos from before and during the ball; friends including Molly Sims, Jessica Capshaw and Dax Shepard dropped loving comments.
As for Apple’s next move, it’s possible she could try her hand at modeling, having previously posed for a Goop photoshoot with her mother and grandmother.
She seems to have taken an interest in high fashion, having made a cameo at a Chanel Haute Couture runway show in January 2023.
Our best bet? She’ll be sitting front row at a Valentino show early next year.
