Swiftie Dave Portnoy unimpressed by Beyoncé’s NFL Christmas halftime show

Outspoken Taylor Swift fan Dave Portnoy doesn’t have anything nice to say about another pop star: Beyoncé.

The Barstool Sports founder shared that he was unimpressed after the “Single Ladies” singer headlined the halftime show at the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game on Christmas Day.

“Beyoncé has been LOST since Destinys Child,” Portnoy, 47, wrote on X Wednesday, referring to Queen Bey’s former girl group with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, which disbanded in 2006.

Portnoy’s harsh reaction came just moments after Beyoncé, 43, wrapped her glitzy performance at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston.

She made her entrance by riding in on horseback and then hopped on the stage wearing a crystal-embellished white bodysuit and chaps paired with a cowboy hat.

The Grammy winner performed several hits from her country album, “Cowboy Carter,” which she released in March, including “16 Carriages,” “Ya Ya” and “Jolene.”

She also sang a cover of the Beatles’ song “Blackbird” while joined by country singers Tanner Adell, Brittany Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts.

Shaboozey then made a cameo when Beyoncé belted out their song “Sweet Honey Buckiin’” before she and Post Malone sang their duet, “Levii’s Jeans.”

She closed out her 13-minute sequence with her smash hit “Texas Hold ‘Em” as her and Jay-Z’s 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, joined as one of her backup dancers.

Despite Beyoncé pulling out all the stops and bringing in some A-list talent to accompany her, Portnoy gave her a big thumbs-down.

This isn’t the first time the podcaster has made a dig at the “Cuff It” artist’s talent.

During last year’s Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, Rihanna headlined Apple Music’s halftime show.

Portnoy took the opportunity to voice his preference for the “Diamonds” singer, 36, over Beyoncé at the time, writing on X in February 2023, “Rihanna > Beyoncé. Not particularly close.”

Perhaps his allegiance to Swift, 35, has something to do with his opinion on Beyoncé.

The music industry often pitted the superstars against each other, with Billboard recently ranking Beyoncé as the 21st century’s No. 1 greatest pop star and Swift at No. 2.

Page Six reported, however, that the “Shake It Off” singer was happy for the “Crazy in Love” performer, with a source telling us, “Taylor will always support strong female artists and thinks Beyoncé is so deserving of this honor.”

Kanye West has also been vocal about the Beyoncé vs. Swift debate, infamously storming the stage during the latter’s 2009 MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech to argue that the former deserved to win.
