His best friend, dentist Colin (Ivan Kaye), is a hobby inventor with great aspirations but gets little appreciation for his creative work from his environment, especially little from his martial-arts-obsessed wife Sylvia (Anna Wilson-Jones). When Frank meets Mary (Sophiya Haque), a new dentist in town, at Colin's house, he invites her for dinner. While Colin's marital war reaches a dramatic peak when Sylvia takes drastic measures to clean out the shed where Colin stores his plans, Frank and his date get stuck in his car in front of the restaurant due to jammed doors.
