Annie is furious when the fire officers leave the water in the cellar and finish for the day. The regulars bail it out. Minnie becomes worried when she can't find Bobby. Annie is worried about something of Jack's in the cellar - a nest-egg of thirty gold sovereigns which were hidden there. She tells Len but swears him to secrecy. Tricia and Gail, having lost their jobs at the warehouse, apply for a modelling course at the Jet Girl Agency run by David Law. They're both smitten with him and are taken on.
