However, not letting his disease defeat his dreams, Garrett lives and breathes basketball, hoping to one day be a pro basketball coach. Wanting to be a regular kid, he pursues to play a friendly game with the neighborhood kids. His mother, Deborah, on the other hand, sees him and his disease much more fragile than anyone else, and ultimately not letting him out of the house, her overprotective demeanor catches them, leaving Garrett defeated.
