For more than two decades, women across Chicago have been strangled to death; to this day, most of their cases run cold. Thanks to the help of the Thomas Hargrove and the Murder Accountability Project, an algorithm detected likely serial murder activity in this cluster of unresolved homicides and prompted the local community to take action.
