"Well you better be a good salesman. It's a tough racket out there Danny." And with that he went back to work. Danny did become an actor and now at his ripe age and thirty years of living in the rough and tumble life in Los Angeles his dreams of being a star and a successful actor are starting to fade. Now being relegated to doing Background work to pay the bills . And his girlfriend Angelica Ulysses, (Heidi Appe) of five years wants more, like marriage, children and a house. This begins to bring a deep depression in Danny as he lingers up late at night drinking and watching movies that he dreams of being in. Speaking to his Professor, (Erik Friedl) for inspiration and counseling to have stay focus and have hope. When one day an old friend of Danny's who has been living in Las Vegas comes to town and gives him a call. Stanley Gladstone now known as Johnny Fontaine, (Robert Standley} a caricature of a slick wanna be Elvis like character, who has been working in Las Vegas doing lounge acts in the casinos. Danny is surprised and yet excited to see his old friend as they spend the day reminiscing about the old days and comparing which movie stars they have met. Later that night at the bar and after to many Margaritas at their favorite Mexican Cantina haunt, of old Hollywood named "Cantina Viva Las Vegas" where their hero and idol Frank Sinatra sat in these stools. Johnny tells Danny the real reason for coming to L.A. He is now working for a low end and up and coming Gangster named Gino Bambini, who has sent Johnny to Los Angeles to handle some serious business and the pay off is $2,000,000 million dollars. Johnny asks Danny if he is interested in doing the job with him and he would split the money with Danny. Johnny says this could make you a star and the leading man you've always wanted to be if we pull it off as Gino wants to get into the movie making business and "I told him about you." Danny decides to think it over, and let him know when he is sober. But is intrigued by the opportunity and idea of making a million dollars and being a real gangster though it could be very dangerous. Johnny agrees. Written by
