However, approaching death often prompts reflection and images from the past return. The film is a collection of statements by people who, as children, witnessed the atrocities that befell their neighbors and friends of Jewish origin during World War II. Released and murdered, they lie in forgotten pits, in the forests and fields of eastern Poland. At the last moment, at least some of them are saved from oblivion. Written by
