Raji is a teacher by profession, while Raja has just taken voluntary retirement from his job. Both live life in a cheerful manner. Although they do not have any children, Raji is very fond of her students while Raja engages himself playing with children living in their society. Young and old, everyone is very fond of this warm couple, thanks to their sense of humour. Raja and Raji love each other very deeply and cannot bear the thought of being separated from each other. However, death comes to their door step when Raji is diagnosed with a deadly disease. Raja is well aware that he cannot go on living without Raji. So, Raja decides to embrace death along with Raji. But instead of just waiting for death to take the final step, they decide to spend the rest of their days experiencing things which they haven't been able to in their lives; they choose to spend on luxuries and pleasures, and live the rest of their days in happiness. They try many things in their efforts to live a lavish life. Their drastically changed lifestyle doesn't go unnoticed by their neighbours. Their motive is to spend all their money which lead to many humorous incidents. Raja comes across a home of a farmer, who has committed suicide, and realises the true aftermath of death. He realises the true meaning of a poetry that he learnt as a boy. He treads the novel path of dedicating his time, wealth and life for the welfare of others.
