I recently purchased the ESR Qi2 15W MagSafe Car Mount Charger, and I have to say, it's been a fantastic addition to my car. First off, It's Qi2-certified, so I get a reliable and speedy 15W charge for my iPhone, which is super convenient, especially on long drives when I use my phone for navigation.
What really stood out to me is the secure magnetic lock. The ring of magnets is powerful enough to keep my phone securely in place, even on the bumpiest roads. I haven't had to worry about my phone falling off at all. Using an official MagSafe case or an ESR magnetic case makes a huge difference, especially if you’re driving on rough terrain.
The mounting options are great too. You can choose between an air vent mount or a dashboard anchor. I prefer the vent mount because it’s easy to install and doesn’t leave any marks. The vent clip is tight and stays put, which is exactly what I needed. However, if you prefer something more permanent, the dashboard anchor is a solid choice with strong adhesive.
Switching between portrait and landscape modes is smooth, making it perfect for navigating. The package includes a 3.3-ft USB-C to USB-C cable, which is long enough for most setups. Just a heads-up, though, it doesn’t come with a car charging adapter, so you'll need to have one handy.

Strong Magnet. Qi2. 15W Wireless Charging.
Wanted a “home” for my phone in the car that was also a reliable charger, and unlike the built in wireless charger in my car this ESR Qi2 Car Mount delivers.I was concerned about a couple things with chargers like these before ordering. Blocking an air vent and the phone sitting in the direct sun while charging were my biggest, but luckily, this version also comes with a mount you can place on any smooth surface. This will also allow me to move this charger to another car with the air vent, temporarily, if the need arises.As I understand it, Qi2 is a new standard developed in part with Apple that both delivers 15W charging speeds for iPhones that support it, as well as adding the magnet mount to phones that support it. In the Apple ecosystem, these features are already included in the MagSafe protocol, but now Qi2 both opens this up to other phone manufacturers to use and gives Apple customers more options to choose from that deliver those higher charging speeds, which was previously exclusive to MagSafe.Wireless charging, in general, doesn’t charge as fast as being plugged in with a cable and a fast charger, but the convenience of being able to mount and charge the phone quickly wins in this scenario. Charging speeds have been consistent and keep my phone charged while GPS is being used. There’s a heat vent that helps dissipate the heat from charging and while I can’t test how well this works, this is something I haven’t seen on many other wireless chargers, so it’s definitely nice to have. As for the magnet, it’s relatively strong keeping the phone secure and steady even when hitting unexpected bumps in the road.Following the instructions to install this on your air vent is simple and straightforward which is how I’ve been using it, before making the semi-permanent decision of where to mount it with the adhesive mount. It features an adjustable stabilizer, which is critical considering the combined weight of the phone and charger while mounted to the vent clip. I do wish there was a more aesthetically pleasing way to route the usb cable coming from the charger, but this is more of a knock on the design of my car and where the usb inputs are rather than the charger itself.All in all, I’d recommend this to anyone who needs a reliable charging and mounting solution for their phone, especially since some other brands charge roughly the same for just a mounting solution.

Strong Magnet. Fast Charging. Unique Mount for Extra Support

This 15W MagSafe fast charger is legit. Magnet is strong so your phone will stay secure during bumpy roads. As long as you use the proper 20W car adapter, you’ll get the full 15W charging capability. Otherwise you’ll still get a great charging experience. Air vent mount is a little bit so you have to make sure you have horizontal vents with enough room for the charger to clip on. The extra support clip helps keep everything in place. Good quality plastic all around. USB C to C cable is about 3m, but good length. You might be able to use a usb A to C cable as long as it can support fast charging (aka newer cable). All in all, great MagSafe car charger!

The charger boasts a sleek and minimalist design that blends seamlessly and the magnet feels really strong and secure to keep my phone high so i dont have to take my eyes off the road if glancing at it while charging. It feels really well made and unlike others that I have had I feel like the part that connects to the vent had a little leg to take pressure off just using the vent to hold it up. It also come with a 3M mount if you want to have something that feels a little more permanent. Highly recommend.

Overall this is really good mount, it comes with magnetic charging pad, a vent clip mount, an adhesive dash mount and a USB C to C able. The magnets are nice and strong and held my iPhone in place with no problems. The swivel on the arm was firm enough that the mount did not jostle while driving, but easy enough to fine tune the position of the phone. I really like the lights on the side of the mount that come to so you have a visual indicator when your phone is charging.
There are a couple of things to consider with the mount, first, when mounted the phone is a good distance away from the vent so depending on your car, it you may have to mount it farther away from the steering wheel, so it does not interfere with other controls like the turn signal indicator. Also, I wish a USB C to USB A adapter was included so you had flexibility to use the included cable with the closest port the vehicle offered (mine was a type A port).

I have several ESR products and have always found them to be high quality and their customer service is second to none. I have been in the market for a qi2 magnetic charger vent mount for my car so was excited to give this a try. The one I received looked like it was previously returned as the main box seal was broken and the accessory bag was opened. So far this charger has been a great purchase! I’ve always been skeptical about particularly vent-clip chargers, as I worry about the sturdiness of it. But this charger has been extremely sturdy since I installed it on the vent clip (I haven’t used the adhesive attachment yet). Installation was very simple and straightforward, and came with directions too.
My favorite feature is the extra support arm that rests below the main charger unit - it provides extra sturdiness as it rests against the vent area, providing extra strength in holding up the unit and is adjustable as you change the angle of the mount. The cable it came with was a good length, though I opted to use a cable I already owned as mine is a bit shorter in length which I preferred. So far it’s been charging my phone well with the MagSafe connection, it’s not an extremely fast charge that I’ve noticed, though I believe that is better for battery health if I’m not mistaken. I haven’t noticed my phone warms up too much either while charging, which is a plus. Also, the magnetic attachment means it’s easy to take the phone on and off the charger- the magnetic connection is strong enough to hold the phone securely in place even with a MagSafe case on, but still easy to remove where you don’t have to wrestle with the phone/charger to break the magnetic connection.

Charging performance seems fine, just like MagSafe at home. You get a double-ended USB-C cable, so depending on your car, you may need a USB-C adapter, or your own USB-A to C cable to actually provide the juice. As the instructions note, your USB power source should meet the PD or QC fast changing standards to get the full performance. I did test it with a USB A-C cable on an old 3.1A adapter and it did still charge with that.
Overall, pretty easy to fit and just use without worries. Perfect if you're already in the MagSafe ecosystem (and if not, why not!)
