I am glad I have found this plant based protein as I have had to stop using whey and developed many allergies over the years. I have tried many alternative proteins to whey (some with are similar profile to Pure Food) and prior to this protein there was only one that did not provide any side effects until recently (the side effect was slight palpitations at bedtime, which based on the ingredient profile I still can’t figure out why, and why I was able to use it for a while with no issues but has gone away after throwing away the product). That’s when I started to look for other plant proteins. I appreciate the fact that this company is very transparent, informs the shoppers on their website and demonstrates how their product compares to others on the market.
PRO’s
Very clean plant based protein
No side effects (for me) and the many reactions I get from other products after using the product for over a month. i.e. gluten/wheat, barely, top allergens in general, reactions from too many carbs, slight intolerance to dairy etc.
Based on my experience with using this supplement, I would feel comfortable recommending this product to anyone who has candida
Low in sugar. Company also mentions no sugar was added.
The company mentions no artificial ingredients, Gums, corn, fillers. No reading the ingredient profile listing an ingredient as “natural flavor”. I find that statement annoying.
It has probiotics which is different, although it does not matter to me.
Company mentions product is Keto friendly.
I like that the ingredients are coming from U.S. and Canada. Not just manufactured in the U.S. while the ingredients are being sourced overseas.
I like that the company does 3rd party testing to screen for heavy BPA, glyphosate and amount of heavy metals.
CON’s
-PRICE- My only real complaint with this product is the price. It can be expensive for a monthly supply. In all fairness real food cost real money/you get what you pay for. There is a membership that is available to save money but I prefer to not be on autopay and have to make sure I cancel. While I’m writing this I just noticed it appears you may be able to put subscription on hold so you don’t get charged until you are sure you are ready for your next shipment. That may be something to look into.
-If you have a sensitive palate, are looking for a smoothie like protein shake I would not recommend this product unless you are ok with adding your own additional sweeteners. It has a grainy slight chalky taste. Surprisingly I am able to drink mine with water without any problems. I have had proteins in the past that included sugar and were still so bad I could not even drink with juice. This product is not one of them. (I get the Cacao flavor).
Although I can’t really tell from consumption, the product, like many, does list stevia as an ingredient. (even my original choice had it). I would prefer no stevia at all in my protein but the advantages of this product far outweigh the cons for me.
BONUS-I appreciate the fact the product is Certified USDA Organic. If the product was made in a gluten free facility and had the gluten free certification that would be an additional plus. However, my gluten allergy is not affected with this product at all. I’m also aware that there are products on the market that would likely pass as certified gluten free but the question is the supplement owner willing to “pay to play”.
Overall it’s an outstanding product. To the founder of Pure Food, thank you for providing an excellent supplement and please do your client base a favor and don’t be a “sell out”.

Great Vegan Protein Powder BUT doesn't seem cost effective
I turned vegan about 4 months ago now and needed to incorporate protein powder to ensure I was getting the appropriate amount of protein in my diet. I learned about 3 months into my diet that I was protein deficient and needed to supplement with a protein powder.I was ecstatic to find this brand because I was looking for a clean powder without all the other BS they put it in like the highly processed, chemical-ridden fillers, additives, sweeteners, gums, and other hidden junk ingredients. I wanted and needed my powder to be as clean as possible. I love how they also have probiotics. I have been using this powder since May 18th as May 17th was my first purchase date. I have made 4 purchases in total since May 17th which means you need roughly 2 containers just to get you through 1 month using the 2 scoop serving; that's quite expensive especially since there don't appear to ever be any discounts. I find it ridiculous that the only "discount" comes from having to subscribe to get 10% off each order or buy 4 containers at once to get a measly 15% off.I happened to find 2 other comparable protein powders for less for the quantity you get as these containers are only about a little over halfway full. I found that Sprouts Vegan Protein Powder and Sprouts Living Protein Powders are just as clean and give you more bang for your buck. I attached a picture of the pure foods 18 oz container and Sprouts Vegan Protein Powder 2lb container and they are the same price with different but just as clean ingredients and some probiotics- $39.99 but you get twice as much for the price, which means it will last closer to a month than 2 weeks give or take. The real kicker is Sprouts Vegan Protein Powder 16 oz container is $27.99 and Sprouts Living Protein Powder 16oz container is only $29.95 versus Pure Foods $39.95 for the same size container. I did find the 2lb container of Sprouts Living Protein Powder to be more expensive at $59.95. The only other place I've seen where you can occasionally get a better deal on Pure Food powder is their website but it's not much more than the 10-15% offered on Amazon and it takes 3x as long to be delivered [6-10 days] and that's way too long to wait for powder in my opinion especially if you slack on making your replacement order. Plus the discounts they offer are infrequent and don't last very long. I am big on getting the best bang for my buck and while I do love this powder for a number of reasons, the price has been contemplating just sticking with Sprouts Vegan Protein Powder. I hate having to place an order and wait for it to be delivered when I can drive 10-15 mins down the street and get it the same day if I need to but the 1-day prime delivery helps immensely which is why I've purchased it 4 times and still here... for now. That and I've always had a history of stomach issues and Pure Food pretty much eliminated it but I have no issues with Sprouts Vegan Protein Powder.
