A multi-vehicle crash left drivers queuing on the M5 motorway in Somerset. The M5 was partially blocked in the northbound direction following a collision near junction 24 at Bridgwater.
Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "Queueing traffic and two lanes closed due to multi-vehicle accident on M5 northbound after J24 A38 Taunton Road (Bridgwater South). Cameras show lanes two and three (of three) are closed."
National Highways traffic maps indicate there have been delays forming on the M5 from junction 25 to 24 since around 2.25pm today (January 2), when the crash was reported.
The crash cleared by 4.30pm.

Police confirm multi-vehicle crash
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police has said a multi-vehicle crash on the M5 was reported at around 2.15pm today.
Emergency services have since left the scene.
