Police looking for three suspects in connection with armed robbery of CT smoke shop

Police are seeking three suspects accused of robbing an Ansonia smoke shop at gunpoint on Saturday.

Around 7 p.m. on Saturday, officers were called to a reported armed robbery at Moe’s Smoke Shop located at 213 Pershing Dr., according to the Ansonia Police Department.

A store clerk reported that a male came to the door of the shop and, as he opened the door, two other males came in behind him. The clerk alleged that each of the males was armed with a handgun and proceeded to rob the store, police said.

The suspects allegedly stole several hundred dollars in cash and about $1,000 in merchandise, according to police.

The suspects were all described as young males, police said. Suspect No. 1 was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white sweatpants, black and white sneakers and white and black gloves and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, Suspect No. 2 was reportedly wearing a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white and grey sneakers, purple gloves and was armed with a silver revolver, and Suspect No. 3 was reportedly wearing a black and red jacket, grey jeans and grey sneakers.

According to police, a possible suspect vehicle was described as a blue Honda sedan, which was parked near the intersection of Pershing Drive and Bridge Street.
