Ayr’s Lorne Arcade is under new ownership, Ayrshire Live can reveal.
The arcade, just off Ayr High Street, has been sold to Ayrshire property investors Wood Property Group.
The sale was finalised in August, but it’s not been disclosed how much the arcade changed hands for.
However, the new owners have said they plan to make “significant inward investment” to both the entire interior and exteriors of the arcade.
Wood Property Group has also stated that work on upgrading the arcade will start “immediately” and continue for the next few months.
In a statement the Wood Property Group said: “The current vacant shops will experience a full modernisation and become available for rent.

“Alongside the Lorne’s fresh look, the arcade will feature a new eight-camera security system and advertisement space for local businesses.”
Established in 2019, Wood Property Group has invested in and transformed several commercial and industrial properties throughout the West of Scotland.
The firm is due to submit a planning application next month for a new retail and leisure development in Kilmarnock.
The revitalised Lorne Arcade will be officially launching post-work completion in December and members of the public and local businesses will be invited to celebrate the launch through a Christmas Fayre event.
