Blue gives a shout out to East Kilbride

Boyband Blue have given a hilarious shout out to East Kilbride while performing a fresh version of their hit song on the radio in a bid to spur on Paddy McGuinness for his Children in Need challenge.

Duncan, Lee, Simon and Anthony re-named their chart-topping song All Rise to 'All Ride' in a special BBC Radio 2 performance for presenter Paddy.

The former host of Top Gear and Take Me Out is pedalling 300 miles over five days on a customised Raleigh Chopper from Wrexham to Glasgow for the BBC charity and has so far raised a whopping £3,348,481.

He is on day four of the challenge where he is travelling from Ecclefechan to Strathaven.

Strathaven locals are being encouraged to line the streets to give the Radio 2 and Top Gear presenter a much-needed boost after today's gruelling 64-mile cycle across 12 hours.

Blue's performance, which was broadcast on BBC Radio 2, began with the band congratulating Paddy's remarkable efforts with a reference to his Take Me Out catchphrase 'no likey, no lighty'.

They said: "Paddy, we are proud of you, son. This is Blue. No bikey, no ridey."
