Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch has been the subject of a death hoax on social media after the $HAWK cryptocurrency project she was promoting plummeted in value amid scam claims
Trolls have sparked sick death rumours of Hawk Tuah Girl after she was at the centre of a crypto meme coin scam.
On X, previously known as Twitter, rumours are rampant about Haliey Welch's demise while she has stayed off social media since the purported scam involving her $HAWK cryptocurrency. One X user, @scrimXBT, was among numerous individuals who spread the false news on December 9, posting an image of the Texan with the message: "Breaking News: Hailey Welch has been found deceased at the age of 22 years old."
Several others have since taken to the website with similar claims after the social media personality faced allegations of duping her investors with her failed $HAWK memecoin.

X account Drama Alert, known for covering reports on Influencers and streamers, slammed the trolls who started the hoax. They wrote: "Hawk Tuah fake DEATH rumours after pump and dump allegations. There is no evidence she has died."
And while posts of her untimely demise are untrue, she has remained silent online since the controversy surrounding the coin.
The last tweet referred to Welch's last online appearance on December 8, when she participated in an X spaces session hosted by YouTuber Voidzilla, alongside other cryptocurrency experts.

Crypto expert Nick O'Neal had inquired: "So, I'm sort of curious, not for the token price itself, but just in terms of the fact that there are tokens being generated. There's an actual like-".
Welch interrupted him, saying: "Hi guys, I hate to interrupt you Nick, hello there, but anyhoo, I'm going to go to bed, and I'll see you guys tomorrow."
Welch's last online post was on December 5, where she claimed: "Team hasn't sold one token, and not 1 KOL was given 1 free token."
