Andy Murray had a cheeky dig at Taylor Swift after she celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII victory alongside boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Swift’s beau captained the Chiefs to a 25-22 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers to win his third Super Bowl title and the Chiefs' second successive Vince Lombardi triumph. Following the game, the pop star entered the field to celebrate with Kelce with the two passionately embracing in front of the cameras.

Since the pair began dating in September last year, Swift has been a regular at the Chiefs games and none more so than the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. She appeared on the big screens and TV cameras throughout the game, before plenty of attention was turned to her celebrations with Kelce after the game.

Swift’s relationship with Kelce has been a continuously running story since she first watched her lover in action last September, and after flying home from the other side of the world from her Eras Tour, the couple again took the limelight.

While their blossoming relationship has captured the attention of new fans in the NFL and the Super Bowl, it seemingly hasn’t impressed the two-time Wimbledon champion, who sarcastically tweeted: “Congrats to @taylorswift13 on winning Super Bowl 58 (clapping emoji) a stunning performance”.

Murray’s post received split opinions, as one fan wrote: “It's crazy how much they've shown her. You'd think she was the driving force behind the whole thing”, a second said: “Thank God! There is sanity from this madness!” While a third quipped: “MVP without even touching the ball.”

However, not everyone agreed with Murray’s ironic response, one fan suggested it’s no different to when his mum and coach Judy Murray appears on the screen during his matches saying: “Calm down Andy she did nothing wrong but support her boyfriend we have had to see your mum for all these years."
