A charming country pub opposite a duck pond in a little Surrey village has closed its doors to undergo a 'significant investment'. The White Hart in Pirbright, located just outside Woking, will be given a new look and an ultra-stylish feel as part o the revamp.
Built in 1650, this historic pub boasts a rich heritage and architectural wonders. Taking inspiration from its name, the fresh décor will have deer and nature references throughout.
Two magnificent fireplaces will remain in their original splendour since the pub's origin, and there will be feature fabrics and leather sofas, pouffes and rugs surrounding the crackling flames. Guests can expect floral motifs, a colour palette of blush pinks, golds, teals and deep browns, plus eye-catching artwork and feature finishing touches.

As well as a gorgeous dining area with fixed seating and pendant lampshades, there will be a small private dining area featuring an oval table called the Niche. Externally, The White Hart will benefit from a new outdoor awning with external fixed seating.
Additionally, there will also be a number of extra dining seating, sofa sets, outdoor heating and picnic bench areas, for people to enjoy the outdoors. Yiannis Alaveras, geneal manager, said: “There are no words to describe the excitement and joy the entire team feels for the makeover of The White Hart.
"The entire team cannot wait to welcome back our guests, serving them our brilliant dishes, delicious cocktails, refreshing beers and the very best wines. We’re certain visitors will enjoy the new design as much as we do.”

The pub closed during the week commencing October 23 and will reopen on November 18 ahead of Christmas party season. The menu will feature a variety of pub classics with a modern twist, as well as exciting new flavours inspired by modern world-food trends.
Led by head chef, Dinu Salomia who has been with the pub for one year, the elegant menu will also boast an assortment of seasonal specials which will change daily. The pub can be found in The Green in Pirbright village.
