It‘s all about a great team Tuesday evening in Dortmund: halftime in championsleague match BVB against Atletico 2:0. YES Some minutes later in halftime two the score is 2:2 - what a mess. But then Dortmund is fighting back as a great team and beating Atletico 4:2. WOW, how impressive. Only one day later some kilometers away in our Intersnack plant in Schwerte I was even more impressed by a great Team! Our plant passes the Leadership Foundation assessment with a fantastic score of 93%. Great news, but not yet that impressive. They showed their turnaround from 1. daily working on many topics to seeing all losses, setting a clear direction and keeping direction. #lossanalyse #90daysplans #pdca 2. working freestyle on the topics and jumping to obvious solutions to keeping calm, working structured in a real slowly thinking/disco view approach #IPS #UPS #WPI #AMsteps 3. fixing problems to develop longterm countermeasures #GG #DMS Quite impressive but still not more impressive than BVB. The most impressive things: You took all feedbacks and inputs without any „but“, you all showed an unstoppable ownership, you showed an unbelievable passion and you walked the extra mile doing the assessment as planned even then the AIB auditor was suddenly showing up (would have been a great excuse). In these moments I was looking into bright eyes and my eyes were getting a little bit wet. So proud about the Schwerte team, it is an honour for me to be on that journey together with you and to coach you. Just keep going on with that ownership and openess and when hard times are coming have a look at your faces on the pictures. @BVB good luck in the next championsleague matches but you can‘t be more impressive then the Intersnack Schwerte team

This weekly routine is more than just a sporting hobby - it's a lesson in teamwork, perseverance and leadership. In volleyball, as in our professional lives, the focus is on having fun, but as soon as the game begins, our ambition is aroused. Each of us is challenged to get the best out of ourselves - no task is considered too small, no goal unattainable. The last game of the evening always has a special attraction: the losing team has to take down the net. This fosters a culture in which we learn to deal with defeat and grow from it. It teaches us that success often follows how we respond to failure. Volleyball strengthens our ability to act as a team, think quickly and act strategically - essential skills in any professional career. Every Monday night reminds me that the real win is in the striving, not just the result. According to a study by ESPN - Sports Skills Difficulty - ice hockey ranks 2nd (just behind boxing) among 60 sports measured. Why? Skating ability, body balance, hand-eye coordination, footspeed, mental&physical strength, ability to think and react quickly, just to name a few factors. But hockey is more than just a sports.. especially for kids, who can learn stamina, respect and value of hard work and improvement, develop the character and cultivate the teamspirit. It's a valuable lesson of managing emotions and coping with wins & losses. Kudos to all the kids and their parents who stand by them as well as all coaches who teach the kids not only this demanding sports, but also all valuable life lessons.
