Liverpool tipped to land shock double Manchester United blow and sign Ruben Amorim target
Arne Slot will be looking to add to his already dominant Liverpool side and beat Premier League rivals in the January transfer window
Liverpool sit rather comfortability at the top of the Premier League heading into Christmas day.
Arne Slot has done a stellar job in Merseyside. They have a four point gap to second place Chelsea with a game in hand. Whilst four-in-a-row Premier League winners Manchester City continue to fall, Liverpool only seem to be going up.
The last time the Red's lost was early September. Since then, they have gone 21 games unbeaten. This includes their victory over Southampton, taking them to a record 20th League Cup semi-final, and their latest stunning 6-3 victory at Tottenham.
Their boxing day bout will be against Leicester (kick-off: 8pm). Ruud van Nistelrooy's four-game tenure in the Midlands has gotten off to an okay start. However, after two losses in a row where they have scored none and their opponents scored a total of seven, it wouldn't be surprising if Foxes fans fear Slot's side.
Although on the pitch the Anfield support have felt secure in their play, it is the off the pitch drama that has made them nervous. Liverpool legends Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are all at the end of their contracts.
Although Slot would love to keep them all, the rumours and whispers may be nudging the Dutchman to look at replacements. One of these may even be from Premier League rivals Manchester United. We have taken a look at the odds to see who Liverpool are being backed to sign in January.
