A 52-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man, 73, was found dead
A man has been charged with murder after a man was found dead inside a house. Merseyside Police were called to Braemar Avenue in Southport on Sunday, December 22 at around 11.50pm.
It followed reports of a concern for safety of a man at a house. Paramedics attended the home and found the 73-year-old man dead. His family are being supported by specialist officers.
John David Sarwanskyj, 52 years, of Braemar Avenue in Southport has been charged with murder. He remains in custody and will appear Liverpool Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 26.
When the ECHO attended the scene on Monday, a large cordon was in place surrounding a number of bungalows. A neighbour living on Bellis Avenue told the ECHO that the man who died had "been living there a few years, maybe four or five years. He just kept himself to himself. I would see him walking past most days to go into town."

I would ask anyone that was in the vicinity of Braemar Avenue at that time who we haven’t already spoken to get in touch with us.
In addition, I also ask those with CCTV or dashcam footage to please check it to see if it may have captured something significant that will help with the investigation.
