Bobby Duncan sends message to Liverpool after Fiorentina transfer
Liverpool striker Bobby Duncan has left the club and completed a move to Fiorentina
Bobby Duncan has taken to social media to post a thank you message to Liverpool for all the help he has received at the club.
The Reds confirmed on Monday night that the forward had joined Serie A side Fiorentina, with Duncan departing after just one season with his boyhood team.
The 18-year-old striker joined the Italian side for a fee of around €2million (£1.8m), with a 20% sell-on clause included in the terms.
And taking to Twitter and Instagram, Duncan was quick to thank those at the club for aiding his development.
He wrote: "I want to thank everybody at @liverpoolfc from the Coaches,Staff and Players for contributing in my development at the club I move on with very special memories.... Thank you #LFC #YNWA."
The transfer comes after the England youth international was caught up in a social media storm that saw a series of astonishing claims made by his agent Saif Rubie on Twitter.

Rubie posted a string of allegations against Liverpool as well as sporting director Michael Edwards, including the suggestion that the teenage forward was being held at the club against his willl.
It is understood that Rubie was bypassed and was not directly involved in the deal that took Duncan to Italy.
Instead Rob Segal, Duncan's registered agent for the move that brought him from Manchester City to Liverpool last season, is believed to have helped broker the eventual Fiorentina transfer.
