Rap stars Usher, Rich the Kid and their entourage have been attacked outside a West Hollywood recording studio.
TMZ report that 'multiple shots were fired' with Usher - real name Usher Raymond IV - unhurt in the attack.
However members of his entourage were fired on, and at least one bodyguard was pistol whipped by an attacker in broad daylight.
Around 10 shots were said to have been fired at the group, with a man opening fire as he ran away from the studio.
Los Angles Police Department are said to be swarming the studio, confirming that Usher was inside but unharmed.
Up-and-coming star Rich the Kid was outside the studio when the drama took place.
Sources claim the suspect could have made off with cash and jewelry from the raid.
It is unknown whether anyone was hit by the gun fire.
Four hours ago Rich the Kid posted a picture to his instagram page holding wads of cash with the caption "for motivational purposes only".
The likes of Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Shakira, Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Quincy Jones have all recorded at Westlake in recent years.
Last year Usher and his estranged wife Grace Miguel filed for divorce, according to American celeb news specialists The Blast.
The couple split earlier in 2018 but later on in the year it was finally rubber stamped in Georgia.
Reasons behind the parting of ways have yet to be discovered but the U Got It Bad singer is starting afresh having met his former manager in 2009.
According to court records Usher, 40, used the same attorney he hired for his previous custody fight with ex-wife Tameka Foster.
When they split back last March they released a joint statement, telling fans: “After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple.
"We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
