Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has ruled himself out of major celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the first of the 8-film series being released this month.

There are rumours that the cast of Potter will be reuniting to mark the anniversary on November 4th.

But Daniel, who is synonymous for playing the boy wizard Harry Potter from 2001 until 2011., has dropped the bombshell that he will not be part of the fun.

He told WION : “I’m in the Dominican Republic at the moment, filming, and then I’m going to be busy, kind of working on bits and pieces until the end of the year.

"So, yeah, I don’t know. I’m sure there will be some sort of celebration but I don’t know if we will be getting together or anything. I’m sorry if that’s a bit of a disappointment to anyone.”

Rupert Grint who played Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger actress Emma Watson are expected to be attending the reunion.

This week Daniel has revealed his desire to join the Fast And Furious franchise – as long as he doesn’t have to do any driving.

Daniel has admitted he has his sights set on a vastly different blockbuster film series, one which has attracted Oscar winner Dame Helen Mirren to its latest offering.

However, The Woman in Black actor insisted that Fast And Furious star Vin Diesel would need to offer him a non-driving role as the "admin guy".

Speaking on Conan O'Brien's podcast, the film star said: "I would love to be in a movie like that but in the instance of [Fast & Furious], if I could have a non-driving part, that would be great.

"Driving on camera is maybe the part of my job that I hate the most. I barely drive in real life. I have a license. But I really am not good at it and don't really do it.

"So trying to hit a mark, in a car, is my most hated part of it.

"I could do some of the admin. I'm sure they must need a lot of that. There must be an administration guy there. Someone has to look after these guys."

Daniel is currently filming Lost City of D alongside Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock.

The movie centres around a reclusive romance novelist (Bullock) who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum), until a kidnapping attempt leaves them trekking the jungle.
