Recovering Davina McCall says she'll never have Botox again as she showed off her surgery scars.
The 57-year-old was treated to a haircut from her partner Michael Douglas this weekend, her first chop her first since going under the knife to remove a rare benign tumour on her brain. She shared the intimate snipping session live on Instagram, and the hair guru didn't let her down.
The former Big Brother host is recuperating after being hospitalised last month, and it was down to Michael - who she has been dating for five years - to carry out the task. He explained in the clip how he was going to cut Davina's hair and talked through those watching the techniques he was using, as well as a number of tips.
The pair chatted throughout, and talked about a number of subjects - including why she won't be having Botox again. In the clip, Michael explained how he was going to cut the star's hair and talked fans though the process, showing off his techniques and giving tips to watching fans.
He showed off the scar from Davina's surgery and told viewers that she had lost a lot of hair after having children. Michael added that Davina had quite thick hair but there was not as much of it and the TV star admitted that she "used to have lots of hair but I had babies".
After one fan wrote in the comments that a fringe is cheaper than Botox, she responded: "You are absolutely right. I've got lots of wrinkles in my forehead. I mean I can't and I don't have Botox. I have had it before, like in my frown lines."
Updating her followers about her recovery, Davina touched on her healing scar with candour: "It's all healed, it's a bit crusty," while highlighting the noticeable lack due to hair loss. The live session included playful banter, with Michael admitting he may have been a touch heavy-handed, joking, "I was a bit rough there - she normally likes it rough."
Never one to miss a beat, Davina fired back with a playful "Michael Douglas you are naughty", sparking laughter. As the live came to a close, she heaped praise on Michael's dual role as her amour and haircutter, quipping lightheartedly that perhaps she should "have brain surgery more often".
She recently took to social media to update her followers on her recovery journey, radiating positivity as she shared: "Hi just a quick update to let everyone know that I'm doing well. And the last couple of days I've really, really, really felt miles better and I've come in to London today to celebrate one of Michael's boy's birthdays, so that's lovely."
She went on to clarify any confusion regarding her appearance: "And just also wanted to say that the picture of me in the wig was from when we recorded The Masked Singer earlier on this year, it was before my operation. I was fit as a fiddle then, I'm still recovering right now and I'm planning on getting back to work in about a month."
Davina was referring to her appearance in recent promo pics for The Masked Singer, in which she looked almost unrecognisable without her famous long brunette locks. Instead, the presenter rocked a choppy blonde hairdo, with the platinum strands styled in a very short pixie cut.
