This is the disturbing moment Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs jokingly appears to tell Justin Bieber to stay quiet about “the things he does with Puff”.
The disgraced rapper appeared alongside a then 16-year-old Justin on a 2011 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The 54-year-old has since been arrested and is in jail awaiting trial after being charged with sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution and racketeering. He is also facing sexual abuse and violence allegations, all of which he denies.
In the resurfaced clip, Kimmel asked a then 41-year-old Diddy: “What’s going on with you guys? Are you working together?” Diddy replied: “Nah. I think that we have become friends in a strange way.”
Justin joked the pair are like “Rob & Big” in a reference to US skateboard star Rob Dyrdek and his former bodyguard Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin. The pair had an MTV reality series of the same name in the mid Noughties.
Diddy continued: “I mean, to a lot of us, he’s like a little brother. You know what I’m saying? He’s not afraid to call and ask for advice. He’s somebody that industry-wise, the record industry is a strong family. He’s somebody that we definitely have our arms around and we want to protect him, because he’s such genuinely a nice person besides his talents. He’s one of the greatest kids you could ever know.”
Kimmel then joked to Justin: “You know, Diddy bought his son a Bentley, maybe he can buy you one also while he’s at it.” Justin made the audience laugh as he quipped back: “He got me a Lamborghini. I haven’t gotten it yet though.”
“When is it coming that Lamborghini? We talked about this last time,” Jimmy continued, as Diddy chillingly joked: “He had the Lamborghini for a day or two and he had access to the house. And he knows better than to be talking about the things he does with big brother Puff on national television. Everything ain’t for everybody.” The Mirror has reached out to reps for Justin and Diddy for further comment on this story.
Justin, now 30, and Diddy first became friends back in 2009 when they met at the VMAs. At the time Justin had just been signed by singer Usher, who himself lived with Diddy when he was a young musician.
Usher has since spoken out about Diddy’s mentorship. He claimed the rapper introduced him to sex, drugs and alcohol when he was far too young and told MTV in 2010 that he "wouldn't pass on any of the advice he gave me."
