Fearne Cotton shocked fans this week by announcing that "with a heavy heart", she and her long-term husband Jesse Wood, 48, had decided to called it quits.
Prior to their break-up, the presenter often gave fans an insight into their lives together, including what happened on their first date.
In 2021, the 43-year-old recalled inviting Ronnie Wood's son over to her house, in a bid to keep their first date away from media attention.
While many would assume they got to know each other over dinner, Fearne confessed that it was a night fuelled with vodka and cigarettes instead.
"We definitely didn’t eat," she confessed on the Table Manners podcast.
"For our first date, I was a bit nervous because this was a point in my late 20s where for some reason there was interest in who I was dating, and it was really horrible.
"My husband is now, and he’ll talk about this publicly, has been sober now for eight years, but he wasn’t when we met," she added.
"So he turned up at my house with a plastic bag with a bottle of vodka in, and we drank that and we did not eat a thing."
After getting to know each other, the pair made things official and announced their engagement in 2013.
A year later, they married at the Richmond Registry Office in south west London, with the Rolling Stones legend as one of the many guests in attendance.
Fearne and Jesse are parents to 11-year-old son Rex, and a daughter named Honey, eight.
Additionally, she is a stepmum to his her husband's children from his first marriage; Arthur, 21, and Lola, 18.
In the same podcast, the presenter gave listeners an insight into how "chaotic" family life had been during lockdown.
Speaking of homeschooling her kids, she shared: "It’s impossible, it’s unrealistic. It’s really unrealistic to be doing [homeschooling] and to be trying to work and I’m a bit of a neat freak, so if everything is really chaotic in the house, I really freak out.
"So I’m trying to keep everything looking nice – pointless.
"Trying to guide them in life and actually work, and it’s just so unrealistic, it’s bonkers."
