Fans of TV talent shows will be excited by the introduction of a new series, hosted by Maya Jama.
Maya will front the programme brought to our screens by music mogul Simon Cowell only months after hit show The X Factor was cancelled after 17 years.
The X Factor brought us stars like Alexandra Burke, Olly Murs and Little Mix, so there is no doubt that winners of an ITV singing competition can hit the heights of showbiz.
Maya Jama has been all over our TV screens with roles at the front of Stand Up to Cancer, The Circle and Peter Crouch : Save Our Summer, so the presenting should come easily to the Bristolian.
So when will it start? Here is all you need to know.
When does Walk The Line start?
The first of the six-part series will start on Sunday, December 12, 2021.
Simon Cowell's own production company, Scyo Entertainment, will produce the show that will feature on ITV.
The company has also been responsible for shows like Red or Black? and Britain's Got Talent, which has so far uncovered the stars Susan Boyle and the dance group Diversity.
The six episodes will air on the following days:
Episode 1: Sunday, December 12 at 8pm-9pm
Episode 2: Monday, December 13 at 8pm-9pm
Episode 3: Tuesday, December 14 at 8pm-9pm
Episode 4: Wednesday, December 15 at 8pm-9pm
Episode 5: Thursday, December 16 at 8pm-9pm
Episode 6: Friday, December 17 at 8pm-9pm
Who are the judges?
Joining Maya Jama, the show has a stellar line up acting as its judges panel. Singers Alesha Dixon, Craig David and Gary Barlow are panellists alongside comedy legend Dawn French.
Alesha and Gary are used to the talent show limelight with roles as judges on the likes of Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor respective, with Alesha also turning her hand to Strictly Come Dancing.
Maya, meanwhile, said to ITV: "This has been a childhood dream of mine.
"I remember watching shows created by Simon when I was younger, and to be given the opportunity to host one myself… it has definitely been a pinch me moment.
"Walk The Line has been unlike anything I’ve worked on before and I hope everyone has as much fun watching it as we are making it."
How will it work?
ITV has been coy about exactly how the show will work, but we can expect something a little different to the 'who sings best, wins' format we are used to.
The longer the singers stay in the competition, the more they can with an eventual grand prize of £500,000.
ITV said: "The series sees one music act win a life changing prize pot of £500,000. The musical acts - be they soloists, duos or bands - will take to the stage to perform for the nation, with panellists Gary, Alesha, Dawn and Craig watching on from their front row seats.

"But to win the money, talent alone isn’t enough. The contestants will need nerves of steel as they determine whether to cash out or physically Walk The Line and risk it all to stay in the competition."
Whether a tightrope will be involved remains to be seen, but the show will be unlike what we have seen before.
