The winners of this year's BAFTA Film Awards have been announced at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The prestigious ceremony this year was hosted by BBC favourite Graham Norton as he took over from the likes of Stephen Fry and Joanna Lumley to keep the A-List guests in attendance thoroughly entertained.

This year's big winner was 1917, the World War One epic from director Sam Mendes which took home both Best Film and Best British Film, while also being honoured for Best Director and various other technical awards.

Elsewhere, the big winners in acting were Joaquin Phoenix for Best Actor in a Leading Role, Renee Zelleweger for Best Actress in a Leading Role, Brad Pitt for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, and Laura Dern for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Meanwhile, Top Boy star Michael Ward was voted by the general public as the EE Rising Star of 2020.
