If you're watching the pennies after Christmas, then the Co-op's latest offer might come in handy for you.

The supermarket chain has launched an impressive "Freezer Filler" deal that gets shoppers over 1.5kg of frozen items for just £5.

There are six different products to be had with the offer including mains, sides and afters.

Customers can snap up two crispy chicken breasts, four chicken burgers, eight fish fingers, Alphabite potatoes, peas and Fruit Pastilles lollies for just a fiver.

The items would normally cost £10.35 if purchased individually, so you'll save 54% with the deal.

Co-op's Freezer Filler discount can only be applied if you buy all the items in one transaction.

Shoppers should also note that the deal is subject to the items being in stock, so it might be worth calling up your local store to see if they have everything available.

Other food offers at the supermarket include a pizza night deal, which gets you a pizza, a side and a dessert all for a fiver.

Customers can choose from pepperoni and Margherita pizzas, while the puddings include Gu desserts.
